The Hip Hop 5K is a One Hip World event set to take place this summer on Saturday August 23rd (please see event pages for more information). Run or walk for those who can't! All money raised goes to benefit the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and Boston Children's Hospital Hip Program.(Please scroll to the bottom for more information on sponsorship opportunities for both individuals and companies).

Hip dysplasia affects thousands of people each year from newborns to adults. Please click on the link "What's Hip Dysplasia under Information in the left side menu for more information on what it is, who it affects and what we can do right now to treat it. We hope that you will take part in this event whether through running or walking, volunteering, sponsoring the event or contributing to our fundraising goals. Every part counts towards winning the fight against hip dysplasia!

Read a blog story about one of the many fights against hip dysplasia at Emily is a resident of Easton, MA where the race is taking place, and would like to share her story as well as the stories of others battling hip issues, from impingement to hip dysplasia. Several other stories are shared on both the IHDI website, and Children's Hospital Hip Program. Emily's is one perspective on her journey through the world of hip surgery; there are many other blogs and stories out there. The Hip Hop 5K seeks to help these people amongst the many others from newborn to adult that go through the battle with hip dysplasia.
